What's an AMA?
AMA stands for "Ask Me Anything." On the day of the AMA, we'll put up a new "AMA" post announcement. You'll then have the opportunity to ask the AMA guest questions in the form of comments on that post. Other Gulch members will vote on those questions. The most popular questions will rise to the top. The scheduled guest will then review and answer questions by responding directly to those comments.

Past AMAs :
- Harmon Kaslow: http://www.galtsgulchonline.com/posts/c0...
- Duncan Scott: http://www.galtsgulchonline.com/posts/3d...

- - - - - - - - - -

How? When? Where?
On December 8th, go to http://galtsgulchonline.com/TheJudgeAMA and your browser will be automatically redirected to the official AMA post where you'll be able to post questions and interact with the judge. The Judge will be here at 1PM ET. The post will be up early to give everyone an opportunity to get there questions posted and to vote on the best ones.

A judge that stands for the constitution. Not many of them left.

One of the best things I ever saw on TV was this Judge explaining the 18 enumerated powers of Congress, and explaining that almost everything they do in recent years (decades) is outside their Constitutional authority.

May I suggest this series of youtube videos by Jeff Hymas. I've met Jeff numerous times (he lives in Star Valley, Wyoming) and had many discussions with him at Tea Party meetings two years ago. He is funded by the John Birch Society and makes these presentations around the state. The core belief of the presentations is that a thorough understanding of the Constitution by everyone will allow rational actions and voting. His presentations are short, thorough and enlightening for anyone that wants a great explanation of the Constitution. He is not a lawyer which supports the idea that the Constitution is not some obtuse, onerous document that will confuse a normal person. I love his use of quotes from the Founding Fathers for clarification for each of the "clauses" that are so wrongly posited by too many "experts": supremacy clause, general welfare clause, commerce clause, for examples.

I have this nagging fear of our legal system nowadays. I feel better when cops are NOT around, particularly on the streets and highways. I feel that the government is now my enemy and the least contact I have with it, the better.

What happens if a racial crisis is perpetuated and Obama declares national martial law? Will the defunded military step in and stop him? Too many independent officers have been removed or retired. I cry for our country over the apathy. The looters are winning.

A couple of years ago I was watching TV flipping through the channels and stopped on one of the news stations. A senator was being interview by a reporter about a bill they had just passed. I only caught the last part of the interview. But I heard the reporter ask the senator about the bill they had just passed, "Doesn't that go against the Constitution?" The senator's reply was, "Most everything we do is against the Constitution." The way he answered it was as if he was saying, so what, what are you going to do about it? I could not believe the senator had the nerve to say that. I wish I had caught his name or recognized him. That is what is wrong with this country. People in Congress doing whatever they want legal or illegal and they have no doubt been doing that for decades.

The topic of this book is one of the biggest threats to the US-- expansion of executive powers. For the past 15 years or more, it's a steady drip of news stories that make me wonder, "wait, the President can do that?" It's like that movie American President from 20 years ago, in which the president introduces a bill and gives it a White House Resolution number.
