Thoughts About the Acadamy Awards

I love movies, so I love the Academy Awards. But I detested having to see a reminder of politics at the end of the show. Out of all of the films, I feel Atlas Shrugged part II was the boldest attempt of 2012. Some of the independent films and foreign film categories would have lost to Atlas if everything was really about film quality. But it's not.
Btw, I hate the word "feeling". I hate even typing it. I "feel" dirty using it so much in one post. Like maybe I should disinfect my computer and go take a shower in bleach or something alone those lines haha
If their behavior persists, that is when I usually walk away mid sentence, hang up on them, shut my door while they are still talking, or simple inform them that my time on earth is finite and I simply do NOT have time to listen to things that my 2.5 year old already knows doesn't make sense. I let them know that I feel progress is the only thing that matters, and for that reason I cannot regress my intellect to their level of emotional debate. The look on their face is always priceless. Worth whatever fall out I may have to deal with later.
I have pulled that a few times and loves every second. The first time my wife shocked, but then proud once she thought about it. I was at a social party and someone I didn't know what running their mouth without thinking hoping I was impressed I think, and I was so bored I literally looked right at them and said "who are you and why are you talking to me?" Before they had a minute to answer I walked off to refresh my drink. The look on their face was priceless.
we'd keep a cry page. every time we made some panty waist cry, we'd keep track in a book. then publish it
I don't do it just to be a jerk though so I don't want this to come off wrong. Time is money so every second counts and I expect everyone around me to act accordingly. Also, constructions is dangerous, and if someone does not care to be safe and do their job right then they can leave.
have you ever read Calumet K? it was written at the turn of the 20th century and was an influence to Ayn Rand when she first came to the US. I think you'd like it
she also once told my cosmopolitan daughter, who in her defense, did not grow up on a farm and has wicked self-determination and strong work ethic,
"hun, those aren't pygmy pigs! they're piglets! I'd ask if my daughter raised you in a barn-but clearly not!"
Now I know why I keep suggesting the school kids spend a day working on a farm... it would work miracles I'm convinced! (But that would be meeeeeeean.)
